GVB & Bank of Guam to welcome Shopping Ambassadors from Guam’s eight source markets
(Tumon, Guam) - The day after Thanksgiving is historically the biggest shopping day of the year. Like the rest of the nation, local retailers are offering incredible deals this holiday season in preparation for Christmas.
The Guam Visitors Bureau together with the Bank of Guam and the sponsors of the Shop Guam Festival 2012 are excited to be welcoming the eight (8) shopping ambassadors chosen from among millions of participants from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, North America and Russia to experience this shopping extravaganza coupled with the unique welcoming culture of our people.

Camacho said. “This first global social media campaign for our island will bring much needed exposure to showcase one of the unique experiences our island is known for. The Bank of Guam is the Shop Guam Festival 2012’s premier and exclusive bank sponsor who will be handing over the debit cards at a press conference this Friday, November 23 containing the winning ambassadors’ shopping prize.

Ambassadors will be on island from November 23 – 30, 2012 and will be required to document and share their Guam shopping experience through various social media platforms. Through the interaction and engagement of online users, Guam will receive over $2 million in exposure. The campaign runs for a total of 120 days and was launched at a global media event last October.
