(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau will light up the heart of Tumon Bay with the Christmas Love From Guam Holiday Illumination Light Park from December 10, 2016 to January 15, 2017.

“Christmas is a special time of year for our community and the Holiday Illumination Light Park is a tradition showing how we celebrate it,” GVB President & CEO Nathan Denight said. “This year’s light park is the best one yet and we are excited to bring it back for our local families and visitors to enjoy.”

This year’s festive holiday illumination park, will feature a variety of traditional Western and local holiday themes, such as a snowman made of sand and a red and green pine tree forest. Additionally, the park will include a special “Legends of Guam” Chamorro cultural installation, which includes the proa, latte stone and local sea life. Opening night festivities will have treats and interactive art displays.

The park will be open and glowing every evening from 6 p.m. to midnight and is located across the street from the GVB office and Proa Restaurant in Tumon. Admission is free.

This signature event features a local photo contest. Participants must take photo of what they love most about Christmas on Guam, share on social media with #withlovefromguam and upload to love.visitguam.com to be featured on GVB’s social media pages.
