GVB LAUNCHES #GuamLove CAMPAIGN

February 6, 2014

Tumon to be lit up with Light Park & Fireworks

(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) today announced the launch of the #GuamLove campaign, which will run from February – March 15, 2014. #GuamLove is an effort to promote 2014 as the “Year of Love” on Guam and celebrate both American Valentine’s Day (February 14) and Japanese White Day (March 14) through traditional and social media promotions, weekend fireworks displays, as well as a #GuamLove event at the GuamLove Light Park in Tumon.

“We want to continue to give both our visitors and local residents more reasons to fall in love with Guam and what better time of year to celebrate than during Valentine’s and White Day,” said GVB General Manager Karl Pangelinan. “GVB encourages the community to participate in our #GuamLove events and share with our visitors all there is to love about our island.”

GVB encourages the local community to connect on facebook and share photos depicting what they love about Guam or snap a photo at the GuamLove Light Park in Tumon using #GuamLove to ensure entries are collected. Selected images may be featured on Guam brand postcards and contest winners will receive a staycation package courtesy of Hyatt Regency Guam, Tango Theaters and the stations of KUAM. Four Guam-brand staycation package winners will be selected throughout the course of the campaign and will receive a two-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Guam, dinner for two at Al Dente Italian restaurant, Tango theater movie tickets and Guam-brand items.
