Guam completes largest familiarization tour

(Hagåtña, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) and its tourism partners have completed the largest familiarization tour in the island’s history this past weekend. Nearly four hundred Japanese travel agents, media and social media influencers were on Guam from November 30 – December 3, 2017 to attend a travel trade show, welcome fiesta and experience various optional tours and activities throughout the island.

113K tourists visit Guam during first month of FY18

Guam welcomed 113,526 visitors during the first month of Fiscal Year 2018. Events such as the Guam Ko’ko’ Half Marathon helped to attract more visitors and allow us to record the second best visitor arrivals for October in the island’s tourism history.

Guam shows strong presence at 2017 Mode Tour Travel Mart

Seoul, Korea) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) and its tourism partners recently returned from promoting the island at the fourth annual Mode Tour Travel Mart held in COEX, Seoul from November 16 - 19, 2017. The travel mart welcomed an estimated 80,000 visitors to the show during the four-day event.

Guam wins best theme award at 2017 Taipei International Travel Fair

(Taipei, Taiwan) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) and its industry partners have returned home after promoting Guam’s unique Chamorro culture at the annual Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF), the largest and most popular travel show in Taiwan. The four-day event was held from October 27-30, 2017 at the Taipei World Trade Center and attracted 366,976 people.

GVB completes three day roadshow in Korea

BREAKING FY VISITOR ARRIVAL RECORDS

Guam continues to increase its visitor arrivals with about 1.56 million people from around the world, primarily Asia, coming to enjoy Guam’s beautiful culture and beaches during Fiscal Year 2017. That’s a 3.2% increase over the previous year, breaking last fiscal year’s record and making FY2017 the top fiscal year in Guam’s history.

GVB wins PATA Gold Award for Shop Guam e-Festival

(Macau, China) The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) recently presented the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) with its distinguished PATA Gold award for the “2016 Shop Guam e-Festival Mobile Campaign” in the “Marketing Media – Mobile Travel Application MA” category. PATA’s panel of judges reviewed 220 submissions from 77 organizations and individuals from around the world.

August arrivals slightly decline, still 2nd best month

Guam welcomed 143,677 visitors in August 2017, a 0.7% decrease when compared to the previous year. While arrivals fell short of surpassing the record of 144,758 visitors in August 2016, it still was enough to record the second best arrivals month in Guam’s history.

January 2017 rises to best January ever in tourism history

January 2017 is the best January of all time for visitor arrivals. When compared to the previous year, January arrivals increased by 5.2% with 136,029 visitors welcomed to our shores. Guam also just experienced its best year in tourism with over 1.53 million visitors coming to Guam in 2016.
